Carolina many thanks ( again ) ... Yet another great day .. Thanks !! .. Please excuse the txting style Frank .. ( Ie written from my phone .. ) Marlborough festival ... Had a great time on food and wine combinations .. Darling Reisling and lemon cheesecake ( turned out to be competition winner ) ...chardonnay and fish trio being the notables ... The day started with a tasting @ Jackson estate victualist ( the guy who looks after the grapes ) pretty soon after opening @ 10.30 .. Really friendly people .. All free after Caroline's introduction re Michael Jackson ...this moves fairly seamlessly into lunch ( as above ) with a very short break for coffee ( I mean very short .. ) ..there were celebrity cooking demos in the morning .. The music is muted before then and then this moves up a notch or two after lunch .... There are kind people who provide hydration throughout the day with crafty water distribution back packs ..we had a lift very gratefully from Frank and Maria who kindly arrived early and left the site before closing time ... We did worry about Frank not really drinking but it turns out that Frank ( pure blue seeming Brit with 3 passports ) from St Jo's @ Ipswich who been here and done it before once or twice .. according to Carolina .. So all in all another great day
